Instagram’s IGTV Supports Horizontal Video: Instagram now supports traditional landscape videos in addition to vertical on IGTV. The horizontal videos will be shown full-screen when users turn their phones sideways while watching in IGTV’s standalone app or its hub within the main Instagram app.

Study Reports YouTube’s Trending Section Disadvantageous to Creators: Using data crowdsourced from 40,000 videos, a new study reveals that creators need to reach about 11 million views on a video before it is shown in the Trending section. In comparison, segments from TV shows like The Tonight Show or Jimmy Kimmel Live only need a couple hundred thousand views to be shown in the Trending section.
Twitter Rolls Out Live Streaming Option with Friends: Twitter mobile users can now start a live broadcast on the flagship app and invite up to three guests to join them on an audio-only basis. This new feature is available on both iOS and Android.
